Bushfire - Effects and Recovery

​

In February 2024 this region suffered devastating bushfires. Our group conducted a walk on private land to look at the immediate effects 

​

We received funding from the Pyrenees Shire Council of Victoria to host a walking and discovery event in a small section of the Mount Cole State Forrest. 50+ people attended

Haven is a Home

​

Our project for the next 2 years started in late 2024 and is focused on helping the Brush Tailed Phascogale, Sugar Glider and other arboreal mammals.

​

This project is funded through Landcare Victoria. 

​

Our project aims to identify the location of a remnant population, monitor the population
and provide habitat and the installation of nesting boxes.

​

We are documenting the project so please look forward to our reports. These will be posted our resources page​​
